Garlyk potash mining and processing complex is the first industrial enterprise in Turkmenistan to manufacture potash fertilizers. The construction of the complex was carried out on the basis of decree № 10802 of the president of Turkmenistan of January 15, 2010. General contractor of the construction was Belgorkhimprom Joint Stock Company (Republic of Belarus). The complex was commissioned into operation on March 31, 2017. Both the commissioning and a stone laying ceremony of the complex were attended by presidents of Turkmenistan and the republic of Belarus.
The main type of production of the enterprise is potassium chloride which is presented as fine-grained and granular fraction. The rated capacity of the Garlyk potash mining and processing complex makes up 1, 4 million tons a year.
Potassium ore is extracted by mining method. Extraction of potassium ore is carried out in a regular regime. The ore is processed and enriched at the ore-dressing plant which is divided into sections of fine-grained and granular fractions. After all technological processes the readymade potassium product is delivered to the warehouse of the complex.
The mining complex is a complex mechanism which requires the training of highly qualified personnel. The enterprise mainly employs specialists who have graduated higher and professional specialized educational establishments as well as have undergone the training and study courses in mining enterprises of the republic of Belarus.
The commissioning of the complex into operation has enabled to solve issues of supply of the agrarian sector of the county with a full complex of mineral fertilizers and export a significant volume of potassium fertilizers.
